Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an RN with at least 2 years of nursing experience and a minimum of 1 year in Dialysis or Apheresis to support Therapeutic Apheresis (TA) procedures.

The role includes cross-training to the Infusion Center and potential staffing in TA as needed. The candidate will work on pediatric to young adult patients with TA needs, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure compliance with SOPs and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN practice with at least 1 year in Dialysis or Apheresis.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in Illinois.
• CPR certification is required.
• Bachelor's Degree (Required).
• Experience in Hematology, Oncology, & Transplantation preferred; CMH TA competencies offered within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform TA procedures—autologous, allogeneic, donor collection, and therapeutic—under physician direction.
• Cross train to Infusion Center and staff TA areas as needed.
• Facilitate TA staff scheduling and TA procedure/treatment scheduling.
• Maintain TA standards, SOPs, logs, and QA reports; ensure equipment and supplies meet standards.
