Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology required.
• Current certification as a surgical technologist required or 15 years of surgical tech experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in leadership preferred.
• CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest standard of perioperative patient care.
• Coordinate, facilitate and manage department orientation for new teammates and students.
• Teach and facilitate teammate learning in the operating room setting.
• Aid in the advancement of clinical skills throughout the surgical setting.
• Collaborates with leadership to assess educational needs for the surgical team and develop plans.
• Utilize adult education principles to plan and implement educational activities.
• Assist in developing and maintaining annual competency assessments for teammates.
• Serve as clinical resource for Surgical Services teammates.
• Participate in Performance Improvement Process.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology

Current certification as a surgical technologist

Bachelor's Degree in leadership preferred

CPR Certification required
