Job summary

Owensboro Health is seeking an registered nurse for the Surgery Pediatrics department. This full-time weekend role provides direct nursing care under established policies, working 7:00p-7:30a and 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period) at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

You will implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary care, document orders, and support discharge planning while ensuring patient education tailored to age and culture.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher or Diploma in Nursing required upon hire
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing required within 5 years of employment
• RN licensure required in Kentucky upon hire
• BLS within 45 days; PALS within 12 months

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per policies and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Monitor and communicate patient condition
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care
• Record and carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assist with discharge planning needs
• Assess learning needs and provide education
