Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY, is seeking an experienced RN for NICU to provide direct nursing care in alignment with policies and protocols. This role includes weekend 7p-7:30a and full-time 0.9 FTE.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, implement care plans, educate families, and coordinate discharge planning, while adhering to Nurse Practice Act. Requires KY RN license, BLS, NRP; Bachelor's within 5 years.

Qualifications

Assoc degree or higher in nursing required at hire.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing must be obtained within 5 years.
KY RN license required at hire.
BLS certification within 45 days.
NRP certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

Performs functions related to problem definition, data collection, interpretation and analysis.
Implements and monitors patient care plans.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with patient/family and members of the healthcare team.
Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
