Job summary

Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center is seeking a Weekend RN in the Surgery department. This Per Diem/PRN position offers weekend hours (0630-1500) with less than 40 hours per pay period.

The role requires an Associate's or higher in nursing, with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing to be completed within 5 years. Kentucky RN licensure, BLS, ACLS/ALS, and PALS certifications are required within defined timelines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care following policy and procedure.
• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the team.
• Acts as primary coordinator for well-coordinated patient care across disciplines.
• Carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses discharge planning needs with patient/family and team.
• Educates patient and family considering age and culture.
• Adheres to the Nurse Practice Act.
