Job summary

Shriners Children’s Philadelphia offers a pediatric spine fellowship spanning 6–12 months, developing clinical assessment of outpatients and advanced inpatient and surgical skills in spinal deformity. Exposure ranges from early-onset scoliosis to complex syndromic conditions, including vertebral body tethering and novel approaches.

Candidates must be ABOS or ABNS eligible/certified and have completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic/spine surgery or pediatric neurosurgery/spine.

Qualifications

• Orthopedic surgeons: ABOS eligible or certified and fellowship in pediatric orthopedics/spine.
• Neurosurgeons: ABNS eligible or certified and fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery/spine.

Responsibilities

• Fellows gain outpatient clinic appraisal, inpatient care exposure, and surgical experience in pediatric spinal deformity management.
