Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive and swallowing disorders in the Outpatient Rehabilitation department.

You will establish plans of care, collaborate with the care team, document progress, and ensure compliance with billing and accreditation standards while maintaining patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology with state licensure requirements.
• 1 year Speech Therapy experience in pediatric settings.
• CCC SLP certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician referrals and conducts speech-language evaluations.
• Develops written care plans and implements individual treatment.
• Monitors outcomes and adjusts treatment plans with patient progress.
• Performs documentation, billing, scheduling and compliance tasks.
• Ensures patient safety and infection control during treatment.
