Job summary

MedCare Pediatric is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for weekend pediatrics roles. You will provide one-on-one therapy in children's homes under the supervision of a licensed SLP, helping with communication, feeding, and swallowing skills.

The position offers part-time and PRN schedules with flexible weekend and after-school options, a supportive interdisciplinary team, and opportunities to grow as a clinician while delivering compassionate, family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited SLPA program.
• Current Texas SLPA license or eligibility to obtain before start date.
• One year of experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric speech therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Implement individualized treatment plans addressing speech disorders, language delays, articulation/phonology, feeding and swallowing, social communication.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising SLP.
• Educate and support parents with home programs and therapeutic strategies.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with SLPs, OTs, PTs, nurses and other health professionals to provide family-centered care.
• Build positive, lasting relationships with children and families through one-on-one care.
