Qualifications

• Master’s degree with a major emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida.
• Requires valid Driver’s License and eligibility for Medicaid Provider Number.
• Must undergo Level II Criminal Background Screening and be eligible for enrollment with Children’s Medical Services.
• Enrollment as Medicaid Early Intervention (EI) Services provider and completion of orientation modules within 90 days.
• All in-service hours must relate to early intervention professional competency areas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct discipline-specific and multidisciplinary evaluations to determine eligibility for the Northeastern Early Steps Program.
• Prepare written recommendations and develop plans to meet needs of eligible children birth to 3.
• Provide intervention/consultations as authorized on IFSPs and maintain client files for billing and compliance.
• Complete developmental evaluations, screenings, and assessments with the multidisciplinary team.
• Develop Plans of Care and obtain third-party payer authorizations; maintain clinical materials and equipment.

Education

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (FL)

Valid Driver’s License

Medicaid Provider Number eligibility

Background check clearance

Enrollment in Medicaid EI Program

CEU/In-service training (36 hours)
