Job summary

University of Florida is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist (Pediatrics) for Early Steps to join a multidisciplinary team in Florida. The successful candidate will be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in Florida, possess AOTA certification, have a valid driver’s license, and meet background screening

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and successful completion of American Occupational Therapy Association certification examination.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in Florida and eligible for Medicaid Provider Number.
• Requires Level II background screening and enrollment with Children’s Medicaid EI Services.

Responsibilities

• Performs developmental evaluations, screenings, and assessments with multidisciplinary team to determine eligibility and plan interventions.
• Provides intervention/consultations per each child’s IFSP using the Primary Service Provider approach.
• Develops Plan of Care and secures authorization for services from third-party payers and program policies.
• Maintains clinical materials, supplies, and submits requests for replacements or repairs as needed.
