Job summary

The University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital seeks a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to deliver clinical services within the Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Section. The role may involve independent practice and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates will have a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, Illinois licensure, and experience with children with developmental or cognitive disabilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology is preferred.
• Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license is preferred; Illinois Early Intervention credentials are desirable.
• Two years of experience with children with cognitive and/or physical limitations is preferred.
• Two years of experience in the speech therapy field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an independent clinic for diverse delays and disabilities including, but not limited to: autism spectrum disorder, speech delay, dysphagia, feeding disorders.
• Evaluate and treat patients from birth through adolescence within a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide services within Early Intervention Outreach Program and in outpatient settings.
• Develop and implement individual intervention plans, and support IFSPs and IEPs and 504 plans.
• Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.
