Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide in-home therapy for children aged 0–21, several times per week, following physician orders.

You will assess, diagnose, and plan therapy; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; supervise clinical fellows if you have 3+ years; and enjoy comprehensive full-time/part-time benefits in a supportive home-health setting.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• CCC-SLP certification with completion of CFY.
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients 0–21 years old, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairments by selecting and administering testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and advise, instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or SLP Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience.

Skills

Masters degree in Speech-Language Path

CCC-SLP

Pediatrics experience

Texas license to practice SLP

Home health experience (preferred)

Bilingual in Spanish (a plus)
