Job summary

NAPA Center is seeking Speech-Language Pathologists to join a multidisciplinary team, providing assessments and interventions for infants through adolescents with complex communication and feeding needs.

The role requires a Master’s degree in SLP, state licensure, and ASHA CCC credentials for licensed SLPs; pediatric experience preferred; documentation and collaboration are essential, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Master of Arts or Applied Science in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Must have and maintain state license with the appropriate licensing board; ASHA CCC credentials for licensed SLPs.
• Clinical Fellows welcome; licensed SLPs must have and maintain ASHA CCC credentials.
• Experience in a pediatric setting with exposure to children and/or young adults with complex disabilities is preferred.
• Background clearance by the DOJ and FBI; annual TB test clearance; CPR and First Aid certificates.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment with documentation of speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and feeding-swallowing disorders primarily in the pediatric population.
• Possess general knowledge of child development to assess and refer families to other disciplines when appropriate; use standardized tools and clinical observation to plan treatment.
• Utilize multi-frame approaches (neurodevelopmental, developmental biomechanical, sensory integration, motor learning, cognitive, rehabilitation) to inform practice.
• Create tailored treatment plans considering age and medical factors; train families to carryover skills.
• Involve patients, families, and caregivers to provide strategies across environments; utilize AAC systems and aided communication devices.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record; report writing and IEP-related tasks.
• Work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop comprehensive client-centered care.
