Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Lanham, MD is seeking a Pediatric Feeding Therapist to join the Rehabilitation and Specialized Care Lanham team. You will assess and treat feeding and swallowing disorders in children, develop personalized therapy plans, and educate families to support progress and outcomes.

The role requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCC-SLP, Maryland licensure eligibility, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA-acceptable program (Required).
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (Required).
• Maryland licensure eligibility for Speech-Language Pathology (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).

Responsibilities

• Perform multidisciplinary and individualized evaluations and document results.
• Develop and implement therapy plans for pediatric feeding disorders.
• Educate caregivers and collaborate with families to achieve milestones.
• Treat pediatric patients using established plans of care and document progress.
• Identify discharge planning needs and refer to appropriate services as needed.
• Contribute to department policies and maintain compliance with standards.
