Job description

Bluestone Children's Center is located in Livonia, Michigan and offers ABA therapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy. Bluestone is a family centered facility and is designed for children ages 0-13 with varying diagnoses. Currently, Bluestone offers a multidisciplinary approach to therapy including the collaboration between SLPs, OTs, BCBAs, counseling staff, and PTs. The center offers two gyms, a mini movie theater, a playroom, a haircut hut, a mock dental office, school like environment, and several other unique spaces to conduct therapy in a play based and functional environment!

Role Description

The Bluestone Speech and Language Department is seeking a speech language pathologist who has experience working with young children of varying ages and disorders including but not limited to Autism, congenital disorders, mixed expressive/receptive language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, Apraxia of Speech, swallowing disorders, stuttering, AAC, etc. We are seeking a SLP with availability Monday through Friday and between the times of 8am to 6pm. Flexibility in scheduling is available. The speech-language pathologist (SLP) works to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in the pediatric population.

Qualifications

• Masters of Speech Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competency OR eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year
• Current Michigan SLP Licensure
• Willingness to work in a collaborative team setting
• Successful completion of criminal history background check and drug testing
• Willingness to lead summer speech and language groups as well as summer speech and language camps
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with other professionals (i.e., OTs, PTs, BCBAs, etc.)
