Description: HealthCall is a state‑of‑the‑art, natural environment clinic located in Royal Oak. We have a collaborative, interdisciplinary team of SLPs, OTs, MDs, BCBAs, and BCaBAs, who work together to ensure a comprehensive approach to therapy services. Our organization is female‑led and values each staff member’s work‑life balance. We work during working hours, not during our personal time. Our emphasis is on each child’s clinical outcomes and our service to the community rather than on productivity measures and billable hours. The SLPs here may select from full‑time or part‑time schedule options, with four- and five‑day work‑week options at the full‑time level.
At HealthCall, speech‑language pathology services are provided in accordance with a plan of treatment. Additionally, the SLP may participate in aspects of behavioral diagnostics. The SLP’s duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: initial and interim assessment and evaluation of the client’s level of speech, language, hearing, and swallowing function; problem identification and goal setting; development of the plan of treatment in consultation with the physician; provision of speech‑language pathology services in accordance with the plan of treatment; revision of the plan of treatment as needed; interdisciplinary coordination and adherence to the plan of care; client/family education as appropriate; evaluation and recommendation of mechanisms to enhance the client’s speech, language, hearing, and swallowing ability; and timely recording of evaluation data, treatments, client’s response to therapy interventions.
