Job summary

Qualifications

• Background in Social Work and Case Management, with ability to coordinate services and advocate for children and families.
• Training in Psychology and Mental Health, including experience with neurodevelopmental and behavioral conditions such as autism.
• Skills in Family Therapy, with a focus on supporting caregivers and strengthening family systems.
• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field; full licensure required (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LLP)
• Experience working with children and families in clinical or school-based settings; prior ABA or autism-focused experience is an asset.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, cultural responsiveness, and maintaining ethical and professional standards of care.

Responsibilities

Role Description

The Clinical Therapist is a full-time, on-site position based in Livonia, MI, working directly with children, adolescents, and adults. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing ongoing therapeutic interventions in alignment with best practices. • Comprehensive therapeutic skills including assessment of children and adults, providing clinical services to groups and/or individuals, assisting clients in identifying and utilizing strengths to build treatment plans, and knowledge of developmental stages, and impact of trauma on development.
• Ability to work flexible hours consistent with program needs (i.e., some evenings work is required).
• Ability to demonstrate compassion and sensitivity, and to respect the privacy and special needs of our clients.
• Development and implementation of Individualized Plan of Service
• Knowledge of theory and practice of individual, group and family systems treatment.
• Competence in the delivery of crisis intervention services, and in brief and time-limited therapy.
