Job summary

Morton Ranch Smiles Dentistry is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience. You will prepare patients for exams, assist with radiographs, manage tray setups, and maintain a clean, sterile operatory across multiple offices as needed.

The role requires high school graduation or equivalent, state-certification as applicable, and a valid driver’s license for travel between offices. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED with state-m mandated certification/licensure
• Certificates/Licenses/Registrations as required by state
• Specialty dental assistants must have valid driver's license and vehicle insurance; background check may be required

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per state Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Assist PPE and keep patients focused on treatment; escort to front desk and introduce team members.
• Coordinate with front/back office to ensure orthodontists schedule runs smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful operatory; sterilize/disinfect instruments per infection control guidelines.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist dentist to deliver quality care; take radiographs and intra-oral photos as directed.
• Prepare tray setups and replenish supplies; keep patients' mouths dry with suction as needed.
• Instruct patients on postoperative care; record patient charts and clinician notes.
• Present treatment records/health history to clinician; ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturer guidelines.
• Support Lead Dental Assistant with supplies; participate in daily huddles and team meetings; uphold PDS Brand and PPE processes.
