Job summary

Woods Dental Group and Orthodontics in Texas is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and ensure the Perfect Patient Experience. You will prepare patients for examination, assist with procedures, and help maintain a clean, organized practice environment.

The role involves radiographs, charting, and effective communication with front/back office teams to keep the Orthodontists’ schedule running smoothly. Travel between offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED; required state certification or licensure.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Travel to multiple offices per day; reliable means of transportation required.
• In lieu of a valid driver’s license, alternate transportation acceptable for travel.
• One-year certificate from accredited college or technical school; or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions per state dental auxiliaries duties.
• Actively participate in PPE to focus on patient needs and concerns.
• Escort patients to front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Communicate with front and back office to ensure schedule runs smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment; sterilize instruments.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supply levels in operatories.
• Record patient charting in the digital system as directed.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and coordinate with Lead Dental Assistant.
