Inova Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the 22-bed Pediatric Specialty Care/Step-Down unit at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Northern Virginia. The role involves rotating day and night shifts, caring for intermediate and step-down pediatric patients, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires 1 year of pediatric/critical care RN experience (or a critical care fellowship), Virginia RN licensure, BLS, and PALS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience in critical care or completion of a critical care fellowship.
• BLS certification required; PALS within 6 months of hire.
• Virginia RN license or eligibility; BSN preferred or ADN with BSN within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments and interprets data.
• Develops individualized care plans based on assessments.
• Delivers patient-centered care and coordinates with families.
• Advocates for patients' rights and provides counseling as needed.
• Documents care activities and supports the healthcare team.
• Monitors outcomes and participates in quality initiatives.
• Communicates effectively with team and families.
• Mentors staff and supports unit activities as needed.
