Job summary

KidsCare Home Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to provide medically prescribed speech therapy to pediatric patients in home health settings. Under supervision, the SLPA will direct patients and caregivers in targeted tasks to reinforce progress.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with emphasis in Communication Disorders and Sciences.
• Current state-issued professional licensure for SLPA.
• Valid state driver's license is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• 0-2 years of experience; pediatric clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical speech therapy to pediatric patients in home health.
• Coordinate patient care with office staff and other disciplines.
• Maintain communication with patient and family regarding progress and home programs.
• Refer patients and families to appropriate services as needed.
• Consult with supervisor on patient progress and maintain records.
• Participate in supervised visits as required by the State Board.
• Maintain supplies and equipment.
• Contribute to quality assurance and professional development activities.
• Attend continuing education activities.
• Maintain adequate caseload and productivity.
• Collaborate with team and participate in knowledge sharing.
