Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Pediatric Sales Specialist for the Reno and Las Vegas, NV region. You will promote Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products in hospital and office settings, traveling about 40% with four overnights per month. Local candidates only.

A company car is provided. Required a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of healthcare sales experience with clinical background (RDNs or RNs). You will engage NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, and Nursing units, negotiate contracts, and launch

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of healthcare sales experience combined with clinical experience (Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses).
• Stability and proven success in sales.
• Knowledge of hospital settings, pediatrics a plus.

Responsibilities

• Developing territory sales goals in hospital and office service areas for Similac and PediaSure.
• Hospital negotiations and contracting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of products, clinical studies, protocols and guidelines as well as the ability to deliver the information in a selling environment.
• New product launches.
• An understanding of hospital department hierarchies (NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries and Nursing units) and ability to work with Dietitians, Physicians and Nurses.
• Effective administrative skills.
• Budget management.
• Ability to function independently with initiative, independence, and autonomy.
• Desire to be self-motivated, achieving short- and long-term goals.

Our location in Reno and Las Vegas, NV currently has an opportunity for a Pediatric Sales Specialist. This position is responsible for the promotion, management and growth of Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products in hospital and office settings.

Territory

• The ideal candidate should reside in Las Vegas or Reno
• This territory includes Reno and Las Vegas
• Travel 40%, with 4 overnights per month

• Hospital negotiations and contracting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all products, clinical studies, protocols and guidelines as well as the ability to deliver the information in a selling environment.
• New product launches.
• An understanding of the hierarchy of hospital departments such as NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries and Nursing units. The ability to work effectively with Dietitians, Physicians and Nurses.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree required.
• The ideal candidate will be individuals with 2+ years of healthcare sales experience combined with clinical experience (Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses).
• Stability and proven success in sales
• Subject matter expert and high business acumen
• Knowledge of hospital settings, specifically within pediatrics a plus.

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
