Ourlocation in Chesapeake, VAcurrently has an opportunity for aPediatric Sales Specialist.This positionis responsible forthe promotion,managementand growth of Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products inhospital and office settings.

Territory

• This is a large territory that touches Southern VA and North Carolina

• The ideal candidate should reside in Chesapeake, Norfolk or Suffolk

• This territory includes Rocky Mount, Greenville, New Bern, Elizabeth City, Norfolk, Chesapeake

• You will be driving 2-3 hours within the territory with 1-2 overnights/month

• This position does not offer relocation. Local candidates only, please.

Responsibilities

• Developing and supporting territory sales goals in each hospital and office service area for SimilacandPediaSure.

• Hospital negotiations and contracting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of all products, clinicalstudies,protocolsandguidelinesaswell as the ability to deliverthe informationin a selling environment.

• New product launches.

• An understanding of the hierarchy of hospital departments such as NICU, Pediatrics,Pharmacies,Purchasing,PICU, Nurseries and Nursing units. The ability to work effectively withDietitians,PhysiciansandNurses.

• Effective administrative skills.

• Budget management.

• Ability to function independently with a high degree of initiative, independence, and autonomy.

• Desire to be self-motivated,seekingoutsuccess at achieving bothshort- andlong-termgoals.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor'sdegreerequired.

• The ideal candidate will be individuals with 2+ years ofhealthcare salesexperiencecombinedwithclinical experience (Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses).

• Knowledge of hospital settings, specificallywithinpediatricsaplus.

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
