Job summary

Qualifications

• Nurse must be licensed and registered to practice in New York.
• Experience in pediatrics or medical-surgical nursing preferred.
• Ability to supervise licensed practical nurses and unlicensed staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per physician orders and policies, adjusting care as needed.
• Administer medications and monitor responses and adverse effects.
• Observe and report changes in the resident's condition to the medical team.
• Educate residents and families and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
• Orient and precept new staff and contribute to quality improvement activities.
