Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and supervises nursing services on an assigned unit, including direct supervision of staff.
• Directs development and implementation of nursing care plans on a unit.
• Provides patient care, and serves as educator and nursing services expert.
• Assesses nursing staff work methods and provides feedback to improve efficiency and care quality.
• Coordinates medical and nursing care with other providers and departments; ensures equipment and unit safety standards.
• Monitors nursing care quality and implements corrective actions as needed.
• Participates in medical committees to address nursing needs and care standards.
