St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children in New York seeks a dedicated registered nurse to plan, implement, and evaluate pediatric nursing care for patients from birth through young adulthood.

You will supervise licensed practical nurses and unlicensed staff, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and ensure care complies with hospital policies and regulatory standards. The role requires NY State RN license, BLS, and PALS within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Licensed and currently registered to practice professional nursing in the State of New York.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provides nursing care in accordance with physician orders, standards of care, and policies; evaluates and revises care as needed.
• Supervises licensed practical nurses and unlicensed nursing staff.
• Administers medications per nursing practice standards and evaluates responses and adverse effects.
• Observes and reports changes in residents’ conditions to medical providers.
