Job summary

Idaho Falls Community Hospital seeks an experienced pediatric registered nurse (RN) to provide compassionate care for patients from newborns through adolescence. You will perform comprehensive assessments, manage pain, and collaborate with physicians and families to implement treatment plans in a fast paced environment.

The role requires current Idaho RN licensure, BLS, and completion of PALS/ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current, unencumbered RN licensure in Idaho.
• Current BLS.
• PALS and ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Previous pediatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments per policy.
• Assess and manage pediatric pain using appropriate scales.
• Revise care plans based on patient response and daily evaluation.
• Coordinate with physicians and care team to implement treatments.
• Administer medications with weight/age appropriate dosing.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and condition changes.
• Assist physicians with procedures as needed.
