Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Pocatello, ID is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse for variable shift, PRN opportunities. The role involves direct care for patients from newborn to geriatric in a pediatric-focused setting with a 1-3 patient ratio based on acuity.

The RN will report to the Pediatric charge nurse and organize care delivery through prioritization, delegation, and coordination with providers and ancillary staff.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Obtain PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
• Obtain ONS certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Pediatrics nurses are Registered Nurses (RN) who provide direct care to patients who range in age from newborn to geriatric.
• Patients include medical-surgical, oncology, as well as pediatric patients requiring moderate sedation for special procedures and testing.
• Staff ratio is 1-3 patients according to the acuity of the patient.
• The nurse reports to the Pediatric charge nurse.
• Pediatric RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating, and communicating with all necessary providers and ancillary departments on an ongoing basis.
