Job summary

North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding, Idaho seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to apply the nursing process through assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation of patient care in accordance with policies and scope of practice. The RN provides compassionate care, coordinates with other disciplines, and may serve as charge nurse handling assignments.

The ideal candidate is licensed in Idaho with current BLS, and aims to obtain ACLS and PALS within the first year.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice nursing in Idaho.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS within one year of hire; ENPC and TNCC recommended.
• Ability to demonstrate clinical competency for assignment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process through assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation of patient care.
• Select and administer nursing care per policies, procedures and protocols; ensure age-appropriate care.
• Coordinate care between professional disciplines and act as charge nurse overseeing assignments as needed.
• Monitor, evaluate and act on patient care issues; collaborate with providers and external agencies.
