Job summary

Universal Health Services in Texas seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to manage care for patients admitted for medical conditions or surgical procedures. The RN will lead a team, assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care in line with facility policies and the patient-centered care philosophy.

Responsibilities include ensuring safe, competent nursing, coordinating with hospital staff and ancillary departments, and fulfilling on-call/shift requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license; compact state license accepted.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required; PALS/ENPC as applicable.
• 1 year acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care per facility policies.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and ancillary departments; address patient concerns and conflicts.
• May require weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, or on-call status.
