Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse to lead nursing care for patients with medical or surgical conditions. The RN will assess, plan, guide, and evaluate care, and provide professional leadership to the healthcare team in a patient-centered framework.

The role requires active Texas RN licensure, BLS, and unit-specific certifications. Weekend/evening shifts may be required; BSN is preferred but not mandatory depending on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license (or compact state) with current BLS.
• BSN preferred; ADN or diploma acceptable with commitment to licensure
• New graduates with permit may apply if documentation from RN program is provided.
• Maintain ACLS/ARC or AHA certifications as unit requires

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen with medical or surgical conditions.
• Provide safe, competent nursing care per facility policies and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Lead assessments, planning, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Oversee nursing staff under supervision and coordinate with other departments
• Interact with hospital staff to resolve patient care concerns
• May include weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, and/or on-call status.
• Demonstrate Service Excellence at all times
