Job summary

Maryville Academy is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to support pediatric care at our Chicago facility. The RN will provide direct patient care, document progress, administer medications and coordinate with the care team to ensure safety and quality for children.

Requirements include Illinois RN licensure, CPR certification, and experience in pediatrics or emergency care. This role may require working weekends and holidays with flexible shifts to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of certified Registered Nurse Program.
• Must be currently licensed as an RN in Illinois.
• Experience in pediatric, emergency care or medical-surgical nursing preferred.
• Ventilator experience preferred.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with patient assessment, examinations, treatments and procedures.
• Provide patient care and document conditions, interventions, observations and activities under RN supervision.
• Admit and discharge patients using standard forms within one hour.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and coping with illnesses.
• Administer medications.
• Maintain clean, stocked patient care areas.
• Coordinate care with LPNs and CNAs.
