Job summary

The Children’s Center of Hamden is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse to join our medical team on the 3rd shift, providing nursing care to children and adolescents in our programs. Work under Nursing Supervisor and Director of Nursing Services to support assessment, treatment, and health education.

This role requires CT RN license, BSN or ADN, at least two years’ pediatric or behavioral health experience, and proficiency with EHRs and MS Office.

Qualifications

• CT RN license is required.
• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Minimum two years of related experience, pediatric or behavioral health preferred.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide direct nursing care to children and adolescents.
• Conduct nursing assessments and triage health issues.
• Administer and document medications per policy.
• Supervise nursing staff and support personnel.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and EHRs.
• Provide health education to clients and staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams.
