Job summary

Children's Health of Carolina, PA is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for our Fayetteville outpatient pediatric team. The RN will deliver advanced pediatric nursing care, coordinate clinical workflows, educate families, and support providers in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Active RN license in good standing with the NC Nursing Board.
• Current BLS certification.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records.
• Strong understanding of pediatric immunizations, clinical procedures, and nursing protocols.
• Pediatric or family practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room pediatric patients; obtain vital signs and growth measurements and medical history.
• Perform nursing assessments within scope and document findings in the EMR.
• Administer immunizations per CDC/ACIP guidelines and document VIS sheets.
• Administer medications via oral, IM, subcutaneous routes as ordered.
• Perform point-of-care testing (flu, strep, RSV, glucose, urinalysis).
• May assist with phlebotomy and collect specimens.
• Assist with complex pediatric tasks (catheterization, nebulizers, wound care).
• Conduct pediatric hearing and vision screenings.
• Provide education to parents/patients on medications and care plans.
• Maintain infection control and equipment handling.
• Monitor vaccine refrigerators; support VFC compliance.
• Respond to pediatric emergencies and participate in drills.
• Triage patients and coordinate care paths.
