Job summary

Grow Pediatrics is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Pediatric Primary Care Clinic. The RN provides family-centered care, supports providers, and helps deliver preventive, acute, and chronic care in a pediatric outpatient setting.

Daytime hours, 8 am to 5 pm, with a collaborative, team-based care environment. Competitive compensation is based on experience; full benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement, and PTO are offered.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in good standing.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain.
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication with families.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments including vital signs, growth, and histories.
  • Triage concerns via phone or in person and determine level of care.
  • Administer immunizations, medications, and treatments per pediatric guidelines.
  • Assist with examinations, procedures, and minor office interventions.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on development, nutrition, medications, and disease management.
  • Manage messages, test results, and prescription refills; coordinate referrals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR; ensure infection control standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement and team-based care initiatives.
  • Support clinic workflow and staff training in a collaborative environment.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Primary Care Clinic
About the Role

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients in a primary care setting. This role supports providers in delivering preventive, acute, and chronic care while promoting health education and positive patient outcomes. The RN serves as a key clinical resource for patients, families, and the care team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, growth measurements, and health histories

Triage patient concerns via phone or in person and determine appropriate level of care

Administer immunizations, medications, and treatments in accordance with pediatric guidelines

Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor office-based interventions

Provide patient and caregiver education on development, nutrition, medications, and disease management

Manage and respond to patient messages, test results, and prescription refill requests

Coordinate care, including referrals, follow-ups, and chronic disease management

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team-based care activities

Clinic & EMR workflow optimization including staff training

Managing clinical support staff

Assist evaluating, developing and deploying clinical and administrative initiatives with clinic administration

Outpatient pediatric primary care clinic

Daytime hours, 8 am to 5 pm

Collaborative, team-based care environment with frequent interaction with children and families

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and move between exam rooms for extended periods

Ability to lift and assist pediatric patients as needed

Manual dexterity for administering injections and performing clinical tasks

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to be certified

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient setting

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Previous experience in pediatrics, family medicine, or ambulatory care

Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems

Certification in pediatric nursing (CPN) or ambulatory care nursing (RN-BC)
