Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Pediatric Nurse to join Banner Children’s at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in a night shift role. This RN will provide care to newborns through teens in a 40+ bed pediatric unit, addressing Orthopedics, Surgical, Gastrointestinal, Neurological, Endocrinology, Oncology, and general pediatrics cases.

Qualified candidates must have RN Pediatric experience, current RN licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
• Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired.
• Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• In a Home Health setting, employees must be able to operate a personal vehicle and have a valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational and discharge planning needs.
• Formulate a plan of care with realistic, measurable goals.
• Implement the plan through direct patient care and coordination of the health care team.
• Evaluate patient and family responses and revise the plan as needed.
• Document all assessments, plans and interventions accurately.
• Promote evidence-based care and participate in unit or facility教育 activities.
• Contribute to quality indicators and outcomes through ongoing improvement.
• Supervise staff and workflow as applicable to role.
• Coordinate communication with other health care providers and family.
