Nexus Children's Hospital - The Woodlands in The Woodlands, TX seeks a Pediatric Registered Nurse for night shift to provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care across our pediatric programs. The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to support medical stability, behavioral regulation, and individualized treatment goals in a structured environment.

Under Nursing Leadership, you will lead direct care, conduct assessments, and develop care plans while guiding Patient Care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas is required.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 45 days of hire.
• De-escalation training required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience in an acute care, pediatric, behavioral health, or neurodevelopmental setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders and Texas Nurse Practice Act.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments including medical status and behavioral presentation.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for medical, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental needs.
• Administer medications and therapies, monitor effectiveness and adverse reactions.
• Identify condition changes and communicate promptly to physicians and leadership.
• Support nutrition plans, activity, and daily routines with the treatment team.
• Use de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches to support safety and regulation.
• Provide leadership to PCA staff and ensure safe care practices and treatment plan adherence.
• Coordinate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other team members to ensure integrated care.
• Educate patients and families on medications, health needs, and care strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
