Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Nursing Manager to oversee operations for a 50 FTE unit. The role requires at least 3 years of RN practice and prior manager experience is highly preferred. A strong focus on pediatric care, safety, and staff development guides daily work.

The manager collaborates with directors and clinical leaders to deliver excellent patient care across neonatal to adolescent populations, ensuring regulatory compliance and high staff engagement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program and RN licensed in Illinois.
• 3–5 years in healthcare leadership with a focus on pediatric services.
• ANCC certification relevant to area of responsibility within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations to ensure highest quality care and patient safety.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, and payroll/time reporting processes.
• Oversee budgeting, variances, and cost controls within the department.
• Recruit, coach, and develop staff; support professional development.
• Lead department projects and ensure effective communication across leadership.
