Job summary

Affirmer Home Care is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) for weekend coverage in Teaneck, NJ. The role provides 1:1 skilled nursing for a 14-year-old female with cerebral palsy, non-ambulatory and non-verbal, requiring respiratory therapies.

Schedule: Saturday/Sunday 8am–8pm with competitive pay of $45/hr in a calm, family-centered home environment. The RN will perform comprehensive pediatric assessments, manage respiratory care, and maintain accurate documentation while collaborating

Qualifications

• Pediatric nursing experience required or preferred in home care or clinical setting.
• Current BLS certification required.
• NJ RN license active and in good standing.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Medical clearances and vaccination proofs as listed.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pediatric assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Manage respiratory therapies including nebulizers, cough assist, and chest vest.
• Document care and communicate updates to family and supervisor.
• Collaborate with family to support routines, comfort, and safety.
• Ensure home safety and proper equipment use; infection control measures.

She is non‑ambulatory, non‑verbal, receives oral feeds, and requires respiratory therapies including nebulizer treatments, cough assist, and chest vest therapy. Key Responsibilities

Pay Rate

Available Shifts

• Additional day, evening, and overnight shifts available across nearby pediatric cases

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN License

• Pediatric experience preferred (home care or facility)

• Current BLS Certification

• Authorized to work in the U.S.

• Valid driver’s license preferred

• Physical exam within 12 months

• PPD or QuantiFERON within 1 year (or chest X‑ray within 5 years)

• Proof of MMR within 10 years

• Proof of flu vaccine or approved exemption
