Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking is seeking a compassionate Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant to join our pediatric team in Lumberton, NC. This full-time position supports providers in a fast-paced clinic, ensuring high-quality patient care for children.

The ideal candidate has RMA or CMA credentials, experience with EHRs like Athena, and strong communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• RMA or CMA certification required or preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in medical assisting preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience with electronic health records and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients, creating a supportive environment.
• Manage patient files and update electronic health records.
• Assist clinicians with examinations and minor procedures.
• Record patient history, vital signs, and prepare lab specimens.
• Perform minor diagnostic tests and administer treatments under supervision.
• Administer medications/vaccinations under a provider's direction.
• Assist with scheduling, laboratory services, and insurance claims processing.
• Communicate test results to clinicians and patients explaining procedures.
• Stock examination rooms and sterilize equipment.
• Maintain patient privacy and safety in a pediatric outpatient setting.
