Job summary

Kidzcare in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to support pediatric providers with patient work-ups, phlebotomy, lab processing and exam room procedures within regulatory guidelines.

Candidates must hold an active CMA/RMA, CPR certification, and experience in a pediatric practice. Proficiency with EMR systems, clear communication, and the ability to work independently are required. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must have active RMA/CMA licensure.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in a pediatric medical practice preferred.
• Working knowledge of computer applications; EMR experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read and write effectively.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, document vital signs and attach notes to patient records.
• Instruct patients about medications and diets as directed by providers.
• Explain procedures and prepare patients for examinations.
• Assist physicians during exams and collect laboratory specimens.
• Perform basic lab tests and ensure exam rooms are stocked with supplies.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed and collect blood samples.
