Job summary

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to evaluate patient data and determine appropriate respiratory care.

You will develop and deliver care plans, oversee ventilator management and therapies, and act as a clinical resource across the hospital in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. The role requires PA licensure, BLS, and NBRC Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT).

Qualifications

• 2 year/Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
• Maintains required competencies and trainings for the role.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and evaluate data to determine appropriateness of prescribed respiratory care.
• Participate in development and delivery of the respiratory care plan per department policies.
• Oversee all aspects of Respiratory Care including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and gas administration.
• Provide aerosolized medication therapy, chest physiotherapy, and blood gas analysis as needed.
• Serve as a clinical resource and respond to calls/pages from staff and other disciplines, hospital-wide.
• Report to the Respiratory Care Department Manager.
