Job summary

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, part of Tower Health, seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (PRN) to support patient care and help develop respiratory care plans.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and blood gas analysis, while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team and serving as a clinical resource for staff.

Qualifications

• 2 year/Associate Degree or equivalent combination may be considered.
• Completes and maintains competencies and trainings as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and determine appropriateness of prescribed respiratory care.
• Develop and deliver the respiratory care plan per department policies.
• Oversee ventilator management, oxygen therapy, specialty gas administration, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and blood gas analysis.
• Respond to calls/pages from staff and other disciplines; serve as clinical resource for staff therapists.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and report to Department Manager.
