The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, Michigan licensure, NBRC CRT certification, and 2+ years of related experience. ACLS/BLS certifications are required or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy with State licensure upon hire.
• 2 years of relevant experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep medicine or equivalent.
• Active Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan (Upon Hire).
• NBRC CRT certification (Upon Hire).
• ACLS or BLS certification (Upon Hire) - NBRC/ARC accepted.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation to determine respiratory care needs and documents results per policy.
• Administers advanced evaluation, management and therapeutic procedures as required.
• Completes and documents required education and competency within designated timeframe.
• Accurate and timely completion of documentation and billing.
• Facilitates smooth transitions to referrals and provides education to patients and families.
• Trains staff, nursing and students in respiratory care services.
