Job summary

Trinity Health is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the Grand Rapids, MI area on a 12-hour night shift. The role involves patient assessments, therapy administration, and documentation, with an emphasis on protocol-driven care and cost-effective equipment management.

Minimum qualifications include an accredited respiratory therapy degree, Michigan licensure, NBRC RRT credential, and BCLS certification, with at least 6 months of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with an associate's degree.
• Michigan Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapist-driven protocols, patient assessments, administration of medications, and evaluate patient response to therapies.
• Document performance and results of therapies according to policy and procedures (including NICU transport).
• Accurately maintain the Order Entry and Charging system related to services rendered.
• Assist with data collection and CQI for the Respiratory Care Department process improvement plan.
• Supervise and assist in training of new employees and students.
• Clean, assemble, maintain and troubleshoot Respiratory Care equipment cost-effectively.
• Participate as CPR team member in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
