Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids for a part-time night shift. You will join a multidisciplinary respiratory care team delivering high-quality pediatric services and ensuring smooth transitions to home or next care setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory therapy; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2 years of relevant experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep medicine or equivalent.
• MI State license as Respiratory Therapist (STATE_MI).
• NBRC CRT registry required (CRT-Respiratory Therapist).
• ACLS and BLS required (90 days) per EAP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine respiratory care needs and make recommendations per policy.
• Assess treatment effectiveness and document per standards.
• Perform point-of-care testing as required.
• Deliver advanced evaluation, management and therapeutic interventions for patients needing respiratory support.
• Document outcomes and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
• Complete and document education and competencies within designated timeframe.
• Maintain competency in accountability areas and timely documentation and billing.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory care and facilitate transitions to next care.
