Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 12-hour day shift (7a-7p) to provide respiratory care, evaluate patients, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and families.

Requirements include an AS in Respiratory Therapy (BS preferred), Michigan license, RRT within 1 year, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications. External candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 and a retention bonus of $5,000.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (AS); Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current Michigan Respiratory Therapist license is required; RRT within 1 year of hire.
• Must obtain BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications per site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient respiratory therapy and communicates findings to appropriate personnel.
• Evaluates ABG results and discusses therapy changes with providers.
• Maintains artificial airways and performs airway management per policy.
• Performs respiratory therapies across age groups and adjusts based on protocols.
