Job summary

Packard Children’s Health Alliance in California seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care for pediatric patients. You will administer therapies, operate ventilators, perform pulmonary function tests, and educate patients and families while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with physicians and the health care team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Two-year or four-year AMA-approved respiratory care program.
• Minimum 2 years progressive related experience.
• Licensure: RCP, BLS, NRP, PALS.
• Knowledge of respiratory care modalities and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Administers aerosolized medications and manages IPV/HHN/MDI/DPI therapies.
• Administers medical gases and assists with routine trach care.
• Ensures correct setup and safe operation of all equipment for patient care.
• Documents results in patient records and EMR.
• Performs pulmonary function testing and airway clearance maneuvers.
• Collaborates with physicians on ventilator parameters and plan of care.
