Job summary

Providence Children's Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to plan, prepare, and deliver a broad range of respiratory care procedures and diagnostic studies. You will document care, inspect and maintain equipment, and assist with patient billing in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

The role requires an AMA-approved Respiratory Care degree (associate or bachelor), relevant BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, Texas license if practicing in TX, and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care from an AMA approved school is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care from an AMA approved school in lieu of an associate and 1 year of experience.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required on hire.
• ACLS certification from American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• PALS certification from American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner License on hire if practicing in Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year experience (may include clinical portion of training).

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and delivers respiratory care procedures and diagnostic studies.
• Documents all respiratory care on appropriate records.
• Inspects, tests, maintains and operates respiratory care equipment.
• Completes patient billing.
