Job summary

HealthBridge Children’s Hospital is seeking a PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist to support our cardiopulmonary team with ventilator care, weaning, and tracheostomy management. The role involves family-centered treatment planning, daily rounds, and collaboration with nurses, physicians, and therapy staff.

You will administer gases, adjust treatments, document care, and participate in discharge planning. California licensure and pediatric vent experience are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current California RCP license in good standing.
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certificates in good standing.
• Experience with pediatric cardiopulmonary care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory medications, gases, and aerosols per orders.
• Assess patients and adjust treatment plans based on response.
• Perform ABG analysis, PFTs, EKGs, and chest X-rays as needed.
• Educate patients and families for transitions home and care plans.
